My Contingency Plans
My Top Ten Project
Killers
What could go wrong during production
How are you going to avoid this issue? What’s your
back up plan?
Shoots booked but cameras not being available.
This issue will be avoided by making sure that I have a
camera booked alongside my photo-shoot. If this issue occurs I will have to
bring in my own camera.
Equipment failure.
This issue is one which can’t be avoided however to
prevent this happening I must have backups in place.
Fonts not being installed.
This issue is one that will be avoided by placing fonts
onto a memory stick which will let me install fonts onto different machines.
Loosing saved work.
I will avoid this issue by making sure I save all my work
in a secure place, I will also save my work onto a memory stick as a back-up.
Running out of network space.
This issue will be avoided if I make sure I have enough
space beforehand, if I don’t have enough network space I will have to visit
college technicians who will provide me with more if needed.
Computers crashing while producing work.
To prevent this issue I will have to save my work as I go
along and then if computers do crash I will have to work on the latest saved
copy.
Creating work at home and not being able to access it at
college.
I must either make sure all work I do at home I am able to
access at college or finish all work at home that I cannot do at college.
Loosing props.
I must make sure that I have all props kept somewhere safe
where only I have access to and if this issue appears I must find backups
quickly.
Models not turning up for shoots.
I must make sure I tell all my models in advance when I will
need them and also I must have a backup model.
Cameras running out of batteries.
I must make sure cameras with batteries are fully charged
however if they are disposable I must make sure I have a replacement on
standby.
